Its sound is remarkably lifelike in both scale and tone.

The DSP7200HC is designed for mounting under a large-screen TV or behind an acoustically transparent projection screen, and works with Meridian free-standing and in-wall loudspeakers. Full Frequency Alignment corrects the larger delays that occur in the lower frequencies for a sweeter, more natural sound, while Image Elevation ties the sound image to the on-screen action even when the speaker is placed below the screen.

Key Features

Centre partner for Special Edition DSP7200 and DSP8000 XE

Image Elevation places dialogue at screen height

25 mm beryllium dome tweeter with silver voice coil

4 x 150 W amplification built in

Frequency response in room 30 Hz – over 32 kHz, peak SPL 118 dB at 1 m

Meridian technologies: Image Elevation, Bespoke Signal Mapping, E3 Bass, FFA, Pro-Active Bass, Pro-Active Thermal, Q-Sync, True Time and True Link

Specifications

Inputs / outputs: Meridian SpeakerLink (RJ45) and RCA coaxial digital, 32–96 kHz, up to 24-bit

Amplification: 4 x 150 W (600 W); distortion typically below 0.02 %

Drivers: 2 x 200 mm long-throw bass, 160 mm polypropylene midrange, 25 mm beryllium dome tweeter

Display: eight-character display with status indicators, can be blanked

Dimensions (W x H x D): 1060 x 295 x 478 mm

Weight: 64 kg

Power consumption: 17 VA standby, 920 VA max

Finish: gloss black
