With 40 Ω impedance and 112 dB/mW sensitivity, it is easy to drive from portable players as well as from desktop headphone amplifiers.

Advanced 50 mm dynamic driver

Meze focused its research on the materials of every driver component:

• W-shaped dome made of carbon fibre-reinforced cellulose composite for detailed, clean treble and low distortion
• Ultra-thin torus (22 microns) of semicrystalline polymer with a PVD beryllium coating for stiffness, fast transients and a neutral, transparent character
• CNC-machined aluminium frame holding the diaphragm and neodymium magnet with high rigidity and thermal stability
• Copper-zinc stabiliser around the membrane that absorbs vibrations and further reduces distortion

Open acoustic design

A spider-shaped structure and an acoustically transparent grille expose the driver from both sides, giving the 109 PRO the most open design in Meze's dynamic range. The driver is placed at a precise angle and distance from the ear for a natural, anatomical fit.

Comfort and build quality

Walnut wood, cast zinc, manganese steel and vegan leather form a light yet very durable structure. The self-adjusting headband distributes pressure evenly and the soft velour ear pads are breathable for long listening sessions. Every part can be disassembled and serviced, so the headphone can be used for many years.
