Electrocompaniet AW 800 M Reference Monoblock Power Amplifier

The AW 800 M is Electrocompaniet's flagship reference power amplifier. It replaces the legendary AW 600 NEMO as the most powerful Electrocompaniet monoblock. The amplifier features an updated, yet unmistakable Electrocompaniet design that is a perfect match for all current and earlier Electrocompaniet products.

Re-designed power amplification
Completely re-engineered mechanically and electronically. The AW 800 M uses Electrocompaniet's direct-coupled high open-loop bandwidth topology, further enhanced with high slew-rate and very high bandwidth amplifier stages. A brand-new output stage heavily shields the input and driver stages from the load, making the output extremely stiff and unaffected by the connected speakers.

Heavily updated power supply
A total of 210,000 µF of supply filtering. The mains input is DC and RF filtered, and the twin toroidal transformers with upgraded wire gauge are magnetically and electrostatically shielded to keep noise out. The vastly over-dimensioned internal ground reference is kept free of rectifying and output currents, giving a clean, noise-free output signal at any power, a very stable soundstage and the blackest possible background at any level.

Mono, stereo and bi-amping modes
The AW 800 M can be switched between mono, stereo and bi-amping operation, so you can upgrade your system or change its configuration while keeping your initial investment. Further comfort features include switchable auto power down, switchable feature lighting, user-selectable 115/230 V mains input and 12 V trigger input/output.

Improved construction
New front plate with 3D logo and a new power button design. The modular chassis is re-engineered from the ground up and reinforced by two black brushed aluminium rods across the top, adding rigidity as well as a beautiful decorative element, all in a luxurious matte finish. Supplied with Soundcare SuperSpikes isolation feet. Designed and produced in Norway.
