The FeinTech AX210 is an HDMI 2.1 audio extractor that takes the sound from an HDMI signal and sends it to a sound system via optical Toslink (S/PDIF) and a 3.5 mm analogue AUX output, while the picture and sound are passed through losslessly to your TV, monitor or projector. With ARC support it can also output the TV's own sound, and it supports up to 8K 60Hz and 4K 120Hz including gaming features such as VRR and ALLM.

Key Features

  • Audio extraction from HDMI to Toslink (digital) and 3.5 mm AUX (analogue) at the same time
  • Lossless HDMI pass-through to the display
  • ARC support – also outputs the internal sound of a TV with HDMI ARC/eARC
  • Up to 8K 60Hz and 4K 120Hz, 48 Gbps, HDCP 2.3
  • HDMI 2.1 gaming features VRR, ALLM, QMS, QFT and SBTM
  • HDR10, HDR10+, HLG and Dolby Vision
  • EDID switch to set the supported audio and video formats

Sound for any sound system

Connect your player, console or streaming box to the AX210 and the extractor sends the audio both to an optical input (stereo PCM, Dolby Digital or DTS up to 5.1) and to an analogue AUX input (PCM stereo), for example of active speakers, older AV receivers or soundbars without HDMI. The display still receives the full HDMI signal including all audio formats.

TV sound via ARC

If your TV has HDMI ARC or eARC, activate ARC on the AX210 and the TV's internal sound – such as smart TV apps – is also output to your sound system. With a monitor or projector without ARC, simply leave ARC off.

HDMI 2.1 for gaming and movies

The AX210 supports resolutions up to 8K 60Hz HDR and 4K 120Hz with a data rate of up to 48 Gbps and remains backward compatible with all lower resolutions. VRR reduces stuttering and ALLM minimises input lag for a better gaming experience.

EDID management

A DIP switch selects which audio and video formats are reported to the source – from copying the display's EDID, through 5.1 (recommended) or 7.1 audio, to 4K 60Hz or 8K HDR / Dolby Vision modes.
