MEZE AUDIO LIRIC II Closed-Back Planar Magnetic Headphones

The Meze Audio LIRIC II (LIRIC 2nd Generation) is a portable closed-back planar magnetic headphone that brings flagship Isodynamic technology into an easy-to-drive design. Compared with the first generation, it offers a refined, richer tuning, Macassar ebony ear cups, detachable magnetic ear pads and a premium hand-braided copper cable as standard.

Refined sound

Shaped with feedback from the Meze community, the LIRIC II sits between a balanced and a warm profile – clear and accurate, with a touch of warmth for depth. The QWRM resonator mask (licensed from Dan Clark Audio) tames peaks above 7 kHz for a less fatiguing sound, and the upgraded pressure equalisation system gives a smoother transition from bass into the lower midrange.

Rinaro MZ4 Isodynamic® Hybrid Array driver

The MZ4 driver is a scaled-down version of the technology used in the EMPYREAN II and ELITE, hand-assembled and tested by Rinaro. Its 0.08 g Isoplanar diaphragm with 3,507 mm² active area combines a switchback coil for low frequencies with a spiral coil above the ear canal for mids and highs. The Phase-X™ system improves phase linearity, ambience and spatial imaging – a common weakness of closed-back headphones – bringing the presentation closer to an open-back design.

Easy to drive, ready for travel

With 61 Ω impedance and 100 dB/mW sensitivity, the LIRIC II can be driven by almost any portable source without extra amplification. The closed-back construction keeps outside noise out and your music in.

Design and materials

Leather, metal and striped Macassar ebony wood create a light, flexible headphone that resists shock, wear and oxidation. The detachable magnetic ear pads make maintenance simple, and all parts can be serviced.
