A fundamentally different planar magnetic driver
The advanced High Impedance Isodynamic® Hybrid Array driver (MZ5 HΩ) from Rinaro Isodynamics is the highest-impedance planar magnetic headphone transducer available, delivering exceptional linearity, stability and signal purity. Its new low-mass Parus ARTA® membrane features a 2.5x longer and 2.8x thinner trace.

225 ohms of impedance for effortless control
Conventional planar magnetic designs operate in a low-voltage, high-current mode. The high-impedance MZ5 HΩ instead works in a high-voltage, low-current mode, providing unprecedented electrical linearity. Less current means less heat and diaphragm stress, resulting in ultra-low distortion at any listening volume.

Uniform force distribution
The trace geometry spreads the electromagnetic drive evenly across the membrane, keeping on-axis and off-axis response consistent without localised stress points and preserving transient integrity.

Exceptional thermal stability
The Rinaro Parus ARTA® membrane resists thermal drift during long listening sessions, so timbral accuracy stays consistent regardless of volume.

Dual-shaped voice coil array
Two coil geometries handle different frequency ranges: a switchback coil for the low frequencies and a spiral coil for the mid-high frequencies, with a direct path to the ear canal.

Synergy with sources
ARTA's high-impedance design minimises sensitivity to variations in amplifier output impedance, so the headphone's own acoustic character stays consistent. It works beautifully with both tube and solid-state amplifiers while remaining a transparent window into the signal chain, and is optimised for high-voltage sources and capable desktop DAC/amp setups.

Synergy with cables
Thanks to the high impedance, cable resistance contributes negligibly, preserving the intended sound character across different cable choices.

Angled acoustic blades
The open-back grille uses angled acoustic blades that preserve sound quality and protect the driver. The grille geometry works with the precision of the driver so the enclosure acoustics never constrain its performance.

Acoustic tuning, mechanical design, quality control and assembly all take place at Meze Audio headquarters in Baia Mare, Romania, combining sonic expertise with meticulous build precision.

Two ear pad options offer distinct sonic flavours:
- Duo Angled – a blend of perforated lambskin leather and Alcantara®, precisely angled for a richer, more impactful presentation
- Slim Alcantara – two types of Alcantara® with inner-chamber perforations, designed for neutrality and a smoother upper region
Note: ARTA ear pads are not compatible with Elite and Empyrean series headphones.

Two high-quality cables included
Two 2 m cables with silver-plated Linear Crystal Oxygen-Free Copper (LC-OFC) conductors in a dual-strand configuration with 161 conductors per strand, SoftFlex PVC insulation and CNC-anodised aluminium housings – one terminated with a 6.3 mm single-ended jack and one with a 4-pin XLR balanced connector. Optimised for low resistance and signal integrity.

Heavenly comfort
The design is optimised for a great fit on both larger and smaller heads, with additional headband padding for extended listening sessions.

Built for generations
All components – ear pads, headband, drivers and earcups – can be fully disassembled, serviced or replaced for longevity and sustainability.
