The Meridian DSP8000 XE is the first loudspeaker to come out of Meridian's Extreme Engineering Programme – the result of years of research at the very edge of audio design, built on Meridian's distinctive approach to authentic, natural and lifelike sound. Its Precision Sonic Transport concept keeps maximum fidelity along the entire path the signal takes through the loudspeaker, so the listener is fully immersed in the performance.

Outstanding fidelity, dynamics and sheer power make the DSP8000 XE equally impressive in a listening room and a home cinema. A separate head unit isolates the new tweeter and midrange driver from the main enclosure, while the curved, ellipse-based cabinet avoids parallel internal surfaces. Walls made from layered birch plywood, aluminium and resin, combined with substantial internal bracing, create an exceptionally inert cabinet.
