MEZE AUDIO 99 CLASSICS 2ND GEN (Like New) Closed-Back Headphones Walnut Gold

Like new, open box, no signs of use, full warranty, complete packaging

The Meze Audio 99 Classics 2nd Gen is the new generation of the iconic closed-back headphone with real walnut wood ear cups. Ten years after the original launch, Meze kept the familiar silhouette, comfort and inviting sound, and added ten meaningful improvements – from a more balanced tuning to a USB-C DAC/AMP for modern devices.

Balanced, more detailed tuning

The 2nd Gen moves closer to a balanced, neutral target. The bass is still engaging but slightly more controlled, letting the midrange and treble come through with more clarity. The result is a more versatile headphone that keeps the musical warmth of the original. If you prefer the warmer sound of the first generation, the included acoustic absorbers let you shift the balance back.

10 improvements over the original

• Tuning closer to a balanced, neutral target with better detail retrieval
• Refined driver matching for a more stable stereo image
• Larger internal ear cup volume for better low-frequency control
• Precision sealing and a dedicated bass vent in the jack shell
• Re-engineered, more open baffle that reduces high-frequency artefacts
• Redesigned ear pads with a clip-on mechanism for easy replacement
• Improved imaging, instrument separation and a more open soundstage
• Input sockets enlarged to 7 mm for compatibility with more 3.5 mm cables
• Dual-twisted, Kevlar-sheathed OFC stock cable
• Compact USB-C DAC/AMP included for phones and laptops without a headphone jack

Walnut wood and timeless design

Every pair of ear cups is CNC-machined from walnut wood and then hand-finished, stained and polished, so no two pairs look exactly alike. The frame is made of cast zinc alloy with a matte gold finish, and the self-adjusting vegan leather headband with a spring steel band provides the comfort the 99 Classics are known for.

Made to last

The 99 Classics 2nd Gen is fully serviceable – ear cups, headband, cables and drivers can all be replaced.
