Control Module

The optional control unit for the HP 700 (SE) includes balance and tone controls and an output selector switch.

Tone Control

The new optional control unit completes the features of the HP 700 (SE). The active precision tone control in tube technology (used ECC88 tube) guarantees sound consistency even at low levels. Precise corrections in 1 dB increments in bass and treble allow tonal corrections without affecting spatial reproduction. Corrections are just as helpful for old, dull, low-bass analogue recordings as they are for new digital productions, which sometimes have a clear emphasis on treble with a tendency towards sharpness. Corrections in the range of around 3 dB can work wonders here.

Balance Controller

The frequency-compensated balance control enables channel-separate level adjustment in 1 dB steps. Its technology eliminates control-related sound changes. The setting with a 12-pole step switch is stable over the long term and has 100% repeatability.

Output Selection Switch

Manual selection of outputs allows output in multiple zones. Whether playback is provided via XLR, RCA or on all outputs at the same time: a total of three to four power amplifiers can be used for separate rooms, different speakers, separate headphone amplifiers or for bi- and tri-amping.
