The Meze Audio POET is a compact open-back planar magnetic headphone that brings the diaphragm technology of the flagship ELITE into a smaller, lighter frame. It pairs lush, airy vocals and precise bass with excellent detail and separation, and comes with magnetic ear pads and a premium hand-braided copper cable.

Rinaro MZ6 Isodynamic® Hybrid Array driver

The MZ6 driver was developed by Rinaro Isodynamics exclusively for Meze as a synthesis of the MZ4 (LIRIC) and MZ3SE (ELITE) drivers, and each unit is hand-assembled and tested. It uses a 0.06 g Parus diaphragm with 3,507 mm² of active area and neodymium magnets arranged into a Hybrid Array on both sides of the diaphragm. A switchback coil in the upper part handles low frequencies, while a spiral coil directly above the ear canal reproduces mids and highs with minimal time delay for precise imaging. Distortion stays below 0.05% across the whole range, and the AMTS system (licensed from Dan Clark Audio) smooths high-frequency peaks for a less fatiguing sound.

Premium materials and comfort

A magnesium chassis and a steel grille with an intricate pattern make POET both striking and durable. The flexible titanium alloy headband and soft suede leather headrest distribute the weight evenly for a secure, comfortable fit. Magnetic ear pads, taken from the 2nd Gen LIRIC, make pad swapping easy, and every part of the headphone can be disassembled and serviced.
