Pylon Audio's Diamond Monitor 18 cabinet is a 2-way design based on a 19mm Scan Speak textile dome tweeter known for offering a large sound space and in its lower band taken over by the 18cm Norwegian Seas transducer. This conjugation offers us a colorful sound familiar from other constructions of the Diamond series; the speaker has been modified by the addition of an additional ring magnet, which optimizes the Thiele-Small parameters to make it perfect for a home room environment. The boxes are dedicated for rooms from 12 to 25 m².

The cabins have been manufactured using the same technology as their older sisters, the Diamond 25 and 28. The material is based on solid MDF and has been chosen to eliminate bitumen mats and sheep's wool. The entire interior structure has been tensioned with additional reinforcement. The design is slightly angled to achieve the desired visual effect combined with the optimizing phase relationships that occur between the bass and treble drivers.

The boxes are supplied with optional self-supporting brackets, which are an attractive proposition for people who want to exploit the full potential of the boxes in terms of their spatial potential.

The Pylon Audio Diamond Monitor 18 provides dynamic and spatial sound. Thanks to the optimization of the magnetic ring they have a powerful and well articulated bass. The mid frequencies are configured to show precision and resolution, the voices and acoustic instruments are stable in space, offering us large doses of information.

The crossover is mounted using the direct mount technique, using only polypropylene capacitors, the placement of the coils has been optimized to minimize interference.
