TESLA Cartridge Alignment Protractor

The TESLA Premium line is an excellent collection of products for the care of vinyl records and styli that will satisfy every vinyl enthusiast.

A protractor for correct adjustment of the cartridge offset angle and azimuth.

The offset angle describes the angle of the cartridge relative to the line connecting the tonearm pivot and the stylus tip. It is set at the selected null point according to the template. Proceed carefully, patiently and, above all, as accurately as possible.

The protractor includes a mirror for checking that the stylus is perpendicular.

How to set the azimuth

Azimuth is the perpendicular position of the stylus relative to the record when looking at the cartridge from the front. It can be checked simply by eye or by looking into the special horizontal TESLA mirror placed on the platter under the stylus. Viewed from the front, the cantilever tip and its reflection in the mirror must form a straight line.
