Music Ribbon 110 Ω – digital XLR AES/EBU cable

A premium 110 Ω balanced digital cable for precise transmission of digital audio signals between hi-fi and high-end components with an AES/EBU interface.

The cable uses three 16 AWG conductors of high-purity silver-coated 7N OFC copper. The insulation is high-purity extruded FEP Teflon with a precise two-layer micro-space structure. Each conductor has its own silver shield, and the construction uses full TSC signal shielding.

The characteristic impedance of 110 Ω meets the requirements of AES/EBU balanced digital transmission. A very low capacitance of 15.3 pF/ft and a stated propagation velocity of up to 95 % of the speed of light contribute to precise and stable digital signal transmission.

The cable is terminated with high-quality 3-pin XLR connectors with elegant black carbon bodies and 24K gold-plated contacts.

Sonically the cable is characterised by a transparent, clean and full presentation with good spaciousness, precise imaging and a naturally refined character.
